A Nigerian lawyer identified as Asanya Ndidi has has decided to defy all odds by staging a solo protest inside the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
The lady who works in the National Assembly, stood holding a placard at the entrance to one of the legislative chambers as plenary was on today, Tuesday, October, 13, 2020.
Although some police officers approached her and asked her to leave the entrance to another location, Asanya stood her grounds and even told them not to tear the placard.
Asanya’s friend who shared the video on twitter wrote;
“After my being teargassed on Friday when I joined the protest, and got sick afterwards, my roommate
@AsanyaNdidi took it upon herself to continue the #SARSMUSTENDNOW protest, and was brave enough to protest alone in the National Assembly where she works, a national treasure!”
