An automobile accident in Akure, the Ondo state capital, on Tuesday, October 12, may have claimed the lives of some operatives of the Nigeria police.

According to a report, a yet to be confirmed number of policemen have been feared killed in the accident.
Legit.ng gathers that the accident occurred at about 11am around Airport Road, Oba-Ile area of Akure.
Eyewitnesses were quoted to have said speeding and recklessness by the van’s driver was responsible for the crash.
Though the spokesperson of the Ondo state command, Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the incident, details regarding the casualty figure are still unknown at the time of this report.
Ikoro was quoted to have said: “Yes, there was an accident but I don’t have much details now. We just sent people to the scene.”
