Amid calls to contest the forthcoming 2023 presidential election, Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello has said he is focused on delivering his mandate of rebuilding the state.
In a report, Bello noted this on Monday, December 21, in reaction to those calling on him to contest as Nigeria’s next leader.
Bello made this known via Nnogwu Sani Mohammed, his chief press secretary at the security and economic summit of the Northcentral Governors Forum in Benue state.

According to the governor, he does not want to be distracted in delivering his second term mandate of rebuilding Kogi state.
He went on to note that his administration’s ability to curb insecurity and the massive youth empowerment has been attracting calls for him to join the 2023 presidential race.
On the 2023 presidency, the Kogi state leader added that the issue should not be put on the front burner.
