Abia ex-finance commissioner Obinna Oriaku resigns PDP membership

Days after Ebonyi governor dumped the PDP, another high profile defection has hit the party.
A former commissioner in Abia state, Obinna Oriaku, has resigned his membership from the lead opposition party. Oriaku, however, said he is yet to finalise which political party he is moving to next.
Obinna Oriaku, the immediate past commissioner of finance in Abia state, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Nation reports that Oriaku made his decision known a letter he submitted to the PDP chairman in his ward, Mbutu Ukwu Ward 3, Isiala Ngwa South, Owerrinta.
Leakblast notes that Oriaku also posted the letter on his Facebook page. The former PDP chieftain, however, said that he is yet to decide his next political moves.

The ex-commissioner explained that he decided to leave the PDP because the party’s chapter in Abia state lacks the basic structural integrity to deliver good governance.
He, however, appreciated the governor of the state, Okezie Ikpeazu, for finding him worthy to serve in his government.
