A comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has reacted to the fracas between the widow of late Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca and the former first lady of Anambra state Ebelechukwu Obiano.
According to report reported that both women had gotten into a fight during the inauguration and assumption of office of Professor Charles Soludo.
Bianca had later revealed that she hit the former first lady out of self defense.
She said that Mrs Obiano had come over to where she was sitting during the inauguration and began to utter vile statements directed towards her.
Reacting to the incident, AY, who recently welcomed a new baby into his family, stated that nothing is easy in Nigeria and one has to leave their seat to get slapped.
He tweeted: “Nothing is easy in Nigeria again. Even to receive a slap, you will still leave your seat to go and get it.”
Meanwhile, Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, has given an ultimatum to the Ebelechukwu Obiano following her fracas with Amb. Bianca Ojukwu.
In a statement by its President-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the group described the incident as an insult on the entire Igbo race and maintained that they would not stand still while anyone denigrate Ojukwu’s family.
He said: “we were shock-stricken to watch the trending video of an unprovoked attack on the wife of Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu by Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano”.
