Following the current tension in the country, some Fulani leaders have asked the people of Oyo to forgive them
Specifically, they begged the people for the crimes committed by some herdsmen in the area.
Meanwhile, the police has called on the people to allow peace reign, promising to investigate and bring the criminals to justice.
For the crimes committed by herdsmen, some Fulani leaders have apologised to the people of Iganga.
The two are the Seriki Fulani of Igbo Ora, Alhaji Idris Abubakar, and the Seriki Fulani of Eruwa, Alhaji Sule Mohammed.

They specifically asked for forgiveness from those offended by their kinsmen after townspeople narrated how they are being oppressed by the Fulani herders who kidnap and molest them in their own lands.
The leaders disclosed this during a town hall meeting, attended by the new police commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko and a government delegation led by Fatai Owoseni, a retired police commissioner, who is Governor Seyi Makinde’s special adviser on security.
