Gunmen on Friday invaded the Mgbidi divional police station in Imo State and engaged the police in a heavy gun duel which resulted to the death of an inspector.
The incident which occurred at about 9 pm was said to have caused panic among the residents .
Confirming the incident,the State police spokesperson, Michael Abattam said the station was properly protected by gallant police officers who repelled the attack. But he confirmed the death of the police inspector whose identity is yet to be known.
