Sam Amadi, ex-Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has weighed in on the video involving Chrisland School students.
The mother of the female pupil alleged that her daughter was drugged before she was engaged in a sexual act.
In a Facebook post, Amadi said parents and schools should be blamed for the moral decadence in society.
He wondered why the management of Chrisland selected Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for an excursion.
“Must school kids go to Dubai for excursions? What are they learning on excursions that they cannot learn in Kano or Port Harcourt?
“We give kids gadgets beyond their level and allow them access to all sites in the name of enlightenment because we have to show we have made it?
“Now, sadly as parents and schools we are getting what our foolishness buys for us”, the Harvard alumni added.
On Monday, the Lagos government ordered the seal of all Chrisland Schools in the state.
The Police have commenced an investigation and invited all concerned, disclosing that the International Police (Interpol) may be involved.
Recall that in 2019, Justice Sybil Nwaka of an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence jailed a Chrisland supervisor.
Adegboyega Adenekan, then 47 years old, was sentenced to 60 years imprisonment for defiling a toddler after he was found guilty.
