Covid-19 cases in Nigeria have now passed over 50,000 following the new cases announced by the NCDC

The NCDC announced 593 new infections in 16 states, with Plateau, Lagos, and the Federal High Capital Territory topping the chart

With the new infections, Nigeria now has 50,488 confirmed cases of Covid-19 out of which 37,304 have been discharged with 985 deaths

Nigeria’s Covid-19 cases have now crossed 50,000 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 593 new infections in the country.

The new cases were announced the federal health agency on Wednesday night, August 19, via its Twitter handle.

Leakblast notes that the new cases were recorded in 16 states, with Plateau, Lagos, and the Federal High Capital Territory (FCT) topping the chart.

Rivers – 20

Ondo – 19

Edo – 18

Kaduna – 17

Enugu – 12

Akwa Ibom – 10

Ogun – 7

Abia – 6

Gombe – 6

Kano – 3

Osun – 3
