Crime Fighting: Abia State Police Command gets new patrol vehicles


Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has presented keys to 6 brand new Sienna Buses to the Nigeria Police Force, Abia State Command to assist them in undercover activities across the state.

Speaking while handing over keys to the vehicles to the State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Janeth Agbede at Government House Umuahia, Dr Ikpeazu said the operational vehicles is to enable the police combat crime effectively especially in Aba and environs as well as for ease of operations.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Barrister Anthony Agbazuere, while commending the state Commissioner of police for her quantum of intellectual display, appreciated the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, Abia State Command for the support and services they are rendering to the state.

Governor Ikpeazu further used the medium to encourage the police to redouble their efforts at ensuring that crime and criminal activities are brought to a standstill as well as warned all to desist from crime as anyone caught will be made to face the full weight of the law.

Responding, the Police Commissioner in Abia State, Mrs Janeth Agbede, expressed joy and appreciation to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his swift response in providing them with the operational vehicles to enable them carry out their duties effectively.

He promised that the vehicles will be put into good use for the specific purpose for which they were bought.
