As part of efforts to educate road users and commercial transport vehicle drivers on the need for safety while on the wheels, Nigeria’s leading total beverage company, Guinness Nigeria Plc has continued its “Ember months” road safety campaign in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The campaign which kicked off at the National Union of Road Transport Workers’ (NURTW) Owena Park in Ojota, Lagos, is a strategic collaboration between both organizations to consistently push the “Don’t Drink and Drive” message, as a continued demonstration of their strong commitment to promoting the responsible consumption of alcohol over the years.
Speaking at the kick-off event, Managing Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Baker Magunda reiterated the essence of the “ember months” campaign noting that it is a commitment that Guinness Nigeria has made to continue to educate consumers to “drink responsibly” and “drink better.
FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer (Lagos & Ogun) Assistant Corps Marshal Peter Kibo commended Guinness Nigeria for the consistent messaging on promoting responsible drinking and creating the awareness of the dangers of drunk-driving.k better.”
