Gunmen killed six persons in an attack on several Kaduna communities.
The communities include Ungwan Magaji, Kigam, Kisicho and Kikoba villages in Kajuru local government area.
Also, seven persons were abducted in the Anguwar Kwankwashe area of Suleja, Niger State
The criminals, in the Kaduna attacks on Monday, also razed eight houses, six huts, motorcycles and a power-generating set.
In a statement, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan said the Governor Nasir El-Rufai has condemned the attacks, adding that investigations have begun.
In Niger, the abductors took away the victims after invading houses and a hotel around 1.35am yesterday. Two of the abductees are children, it was learnt.
A source said nine persons were abducted but two escaped.
“They split into groups to attack homes from where they took their victims, the source said.”It was even the sound of their gunshots that woke me up. I walked quietly to the window and discovered that some of the kidnappers were dressed like soldiers”.
A vigilante, who preferred anonymity, said he alerted men of the C police division immediately he heard the gunshots.
He said the vigilante and the police from the C division engaged the kidnappers in a shootout, but they still escaped with their victims.
