The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Hon Chinedu Nwamba of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as winner of Nsukka East State House of Assembly seats of Saturday’s elections.
Leakblast.com reports that Hon Chinedu Nwamba, the incumbent PDP legislator, was declared winner of the Nsukka East Constituency.
Declaring the election results at the INEC Collation Centre, the Returning Officer, announced that Hon Chinedu Nwamba polled 17,737 votes to beat APC’s Omeje Ikpechukwu Evans who scored 909 votes.

The returning officer also announced that ADC scored 506;JMPP scored 6 ;NNPP scored 13; RBNP scored 1; SDP scored 9; while UPP netted 1 votes.
He said that the total votes cast were 19,193. Our reporters could not confirm the number of rejected and valid votes as at the time of filing this report.
