Jose Mourinho Sacked by Premier League Club Tottenham Hotspur

Jose Mourinho has been sacked by Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur – Mourinho leaves the job after only 17 months in charge – Tottenham are among 12 clubs that have announced their breakaway from UEFA and ECA in a move to start the European Super League

Tottenham have sacked Jose Mourinho with just six days to their Carabao Cup final against Man City where they could win their first trophy since 2008.. It was gathered that Spurs have decided to dispense with Mourinho after just over a season and a half in charge. The club is in seventh position on the Premier League standings and at risk of missing out on a place in the top four.

Tottenham have won just one of their last six matches across all competitions, suffering an early exit from the Europa League and slipping five points behind West Ham United in the top-four race in the process. They began the season brightly going occupying the top position on the English topflight as at November, but somehow they failed to hang on as they struggled with consistency in the competition.

Jose Mourinho saw his side’s form nosedived – winning just one league match in their last five games, including stunning losses to rivals Arsenal and Manchester United. But his legacy has been to make no real progress while also creating friction between the players and fans, that will need to be fixed by the new manager.

The club were also unhappy with Mourinho’s constant criticism of the players in public, and very conscious of how the fans had turned on Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has issued a less dramatic response to Paul Pogba’s recent criticism of his man-management skills during his time at Man United. Recall that Pogba explained that he is happy working under Ole Solskjaer claiming that the Norwegian will never look down on his players like Mourinho. But in a swift response after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison park, Mourinho said he “couldn’t care less” what Pogba thinks about him. Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Mourinho said: “I would like to say that I couldn’t care less with what he says. I couldn’t care less. Not interested at all.
