Nigeria’s Covid-19 cases are inching closer to 50,000 following the latest infections announced by the NCDC

With the new recorded infections, Nigeria now has 47,743 confirmed cases, 33,943 recoveries and 956 deaths
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 453 new cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria, shooting the total number of infections in the country to 47,743.
The new cases announced the NCDC’s official Twitter page on Wednesday evening, August 12, were recorded in 16 states with Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Plateau, occupying the first, second and third spots respectively.
With the latest report, Nigeria now has 47,743 confirmed cases, 33,943 recoveries and 956 deaths.
