NCDC is asking Nigerians to apply for the position of surveillance support officers.
The supports officers will be responsible for supporting the state epidemiologist in developing and implementing outbreak preparedness and response activities among others.
Candidates must also have first degree in Human Medicine, Veterinary medicine among others The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) is recruiting for short term consultancy – surveillance support officers in 19 states.
The states include Anambra, Akwa-Ibom, Kebbi, Borno, Osun, Enugu, Niger, Kwara, Benue, Gombe, Yobe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Ekiti, Kogi, Ogun, Cross River, Imo and Abia.
According to NCDC, the supports officers will be responsible for supporting the implementation of SORMAS in the state, supporting the state epidemiologist in developing and implementing outbreak preparedness and response activities, supporting the state epidemiologist in strengthening coordination between surveillance and laboratory teams among other
Also, the candidate must have at least 6 years’ experience with the Nigeria’s surveillance system or monitoring and evaluation or field research and must also have first degree in Human Medicine, Veterinary medicine, Public Health or any health or biological science related discipline.
