The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, has retained the ticket as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ilesa East State Constituency for the 2023 election.
Owoeye won the ticket for the fifth consecutive time by polling 3,792 votes to defeat his rival, Kolawole Victor, who polled 28 votes.
Also, Wale Adedoyin has been endorsed by the APC as the party candidate for Ilesa West State Constituency while Babatunde Festus Komolafe will be the candidate for Atakunmosa East and West State Constituency.

Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni was also endorsed as the party’s flagbearer for the Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The candidates emerged after the APC primary election held on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
