President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed delight over the rescue of some students who were abducted from their school in Kankara, Katsina state.
The presidency on Thursday, December 17, released photos of the moment the Nigerian leader was told about the success of the rescue operation.
One of the pictures showed the president speaking on the phone joyfully in apparent reaction to the safe return of the students.
Buhari welcomed the release of the students, describing their safe return as a big relief to their families, the entire country, and the international community.
He prayed for the full recovery of the students, whom he said had endured significant hardships in the course of their six-day ordeal
