Fans have been wondering why Damian Priest has been missing from WWE TV for over a month and it all comes down to an injury.
It was previously reported that Priest suffered an injury before WrestleMania 37 that led to concerns as to whether he could work his tag match with Bad Bunny against The Miz and John Morrison at the show. That was the reason why WWE had advertised Bunny vs. Miz in a singles match before going back to the original plans for the tag team match.
Priest later ended his feud with The Miz at WrestleMania Backlash where they worked a Zombie Lumberjack match.
During the Q&A portion of today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, a fan asked why Priest hasn’t been on WWE television since the May 17th of Raw. Dave Meltzer noted that Priest is out with a back injury.
Dave Meltzer stated, “bad back, right?…he’s injured.” Bryan Alvarez pointed out how Priest had a bad back at Wrestle Mania 37 as well and still worked the match. Meltzer responded with, “yeah, he worked the match, but it was still a bad back.”
