Jurgen Klopp is in the market amid concerns of Salah and Wijnaldum’s exit
Reports have it that reigning Premier League champions Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Lille midfielder Renato Sanches for £18million.
Amid concerns of Mohamed Salah and Georgino Wijnaldum exit, the Reds are in search for a formidable midfielder and they have reportedly negotiated with Lille.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that top officials at Liverpool are prepared to cough-up, Anfield £18million for the star who was tipped for the top after winning the Golden Boy award in 2016.
Sanches could be on his way back to the Premier League after his earlier stint with Swansea on a season long loan in 2017 where he managed to play just 12 matches.
It was gathered that the player has improved his form since his club record arrival at Lille in the summer of 2019 and now he has attracted the Premier League kings.
He’s scored once in eight Ligue 1 outings this term and three goals last season.
Lille are among a host of French clubs concerned about their finances following the collapse of Ligue 1’s TV deal. The alleged agreement for Sanches, 23, would boost their coffers for the second half of the campaign.
Also, Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly planning to make a move for the duo of Antonio Rudiger and Fabian Schar when the January transfer window opens.
The Dutchman made attempts to sign Eric Garcia in the summer but Manchester City refused to allow the youngster to leave.
However, with the Catalans occupying the fifth position on the La Liga table, the manager is hoping to make crucial signings in a bid to contend for the title.
