While NATO gets on with its crisis talks in Brussels, the Kremlin is delivering its daily updates to the press.
Confirming a story from a few weeks ago, the Kremlin has just confirmed the Chelsea owner and Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich played an early role in the peace talks with Ukraine.
Abramovich has now had significant sanctions placed on him from the US, UK and EU, and is unable to make a profit from the sale of Chelsea.
Elsewhere, the Kremlin said the reason Russia’s defence minister hasn’t appeared in public for a while is because he is busy and it is “not the right time” for media appearances.
The Kremlin spokesperson also said that NATO members suffer from a “hysterical and inadequate” understanding of what is going on in Ukraine.
