Rude Boy: Why My Debut Album Has A Gospel Song

Singer Rudeboy has explained why he added a gospel track ‘Iheneme’ on his 12- track debut solo studio album ‘Rudy kill us’.

The former member of the defunct music group Psquare, recently in an Instagram live interview said: “Iheneme means something is happening, In fact; Iheneme is the closing of my album because of the way my music comes to me.

“I used to tell people that my music comes from my dream. I do not carry pen and paper, I do not write anything. I just see myself sleeping, wake up and I’m singing.

“I then take my phone into the studio and record. If your mother or grandmother is close to you tell her to listen to this song, she would tell you something about this song because some part of that song has been existing more than 50 years and I did that song because even the days of Psquare I do that, you can everly see a song thanking God, it is not possible I’ll do an album without thanking God because God has been on my side so that’s it,” he said.
