The Adamawa Police Command had earlier on Monday confirmed the police-military clash following which a soldier died.

The police had said in a statement on the clash that the Commissioner of Police strongly condemned the conflict between Police officers and the military along Numan Road that resulted in an exchange of fire and the killing of a military officer.

The police command had assured then that it would spare no effort in identifying its operatives who were complicit in the death of the soldier and ensure justice.
