Soldiers detonate bomb planted along road

The Nigerian Army on Sunday said it has successfully detonated an Improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Boko Haram along Konduga-Aulari Road, Borno State.

The Army made this known in a statement posted on its official and verified twitter handle.

According to the Army, the bomb was detonated by troops of 222 Battalion Konduga.

“Troops Detonate Boko Haram Terrorists IED. At about 1 p.m today 13 January 2019, Gallant Troops of 222 Battalion Konduga” the tweet read.

“clearance patrol with the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Scanning Team, operating along Konduga-Aulari Road, recovered Improvised Explosive Devices planted by BHTs along Kawuri-Aulari Road. The IEDs were successfully detonated”.
