Theodore Orji labels defectors leaving PDP as blacklegs

Theodore Orji has criticised those dumping the opposition PDP for other parties

The former Abia governor and PDP chieftain said defectors must be able to henceforth accept what happens to them in their new place

Orji, currently a senator representing Abia Central at the Senate, made this remark in a reaction to Sam Onuigbo’s defection to the APC

Theodore Orji, a senator representing Abia Central in the Senate, has condemned defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking on Monday, December 21, the former governor of Abia state dubbed those jumping fences from PDP to other parties including the All Progressives Congress (APC) as blacklegs.

According to him, the person to take over from him must build projects that will benefit people.

“Blacklegs know why they have decamped. If you are decamping, you know why you are doing so.

“If you go there and it is better for you, that is okay. But if you go there and it is not good for you, it is okay. That is politics. You cannot hold any person to a particular place.”
