Wayne Rooney has confirmed that Kaide Gordon will be joining Liverpool

Liverpool who are reigning Premier League champions have beaten rivals Manchester United to the signing of Derby County youngster Kaide Gordon as Wayne Rooney will now be looking for a replacement for the Englishman.
It was in December 29 last year that Kaide Gordon played his first game for Derby County against Birmingham thereby becoming the fourth youngest player to play for the Championship side.
His performance in the game invited the interest of Liverpool and Manchester United as these two big clubs want the youngster to continue his football career in the topflight.
According to the report on UK Sun, Wayne Rooney who is the gaffer of Derby County explained that the club have tried for Kaide Gordon to stay, but the player rejected the deal.

Once the champions of England come in and want to sign you it’s difficult to turn down.
“Kaide is a fantastic player. I brought him into the first-team squad because he was showing the qualities I wanted in my players.
“He’s still a very young lad. But there’s been an offer there for Kaide, even before I was in this role.”
Kaide Gordon is a 16-year-old Englishman who can play as a winger and also attacking midfielder.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently occupying second position on the Premier League table with 40 points after 20 games, while Liverpool are occupying fourth with 37 points.
