A keke rider in the city of Enugu has refused to pay for his meal due to his dissatisfaction in the size and price of the cassava by-product popularly known as Akpu he was served.
Reporters gathered that the rider identified as Mr. Chibuzo refused to pay for his meal owing to the fact that it was unusually too small. He lamented that the akpu that he normally buy at 200naira per wrap was sold to him at 400naira and he wasn’t ready to spend beyond his feeding budget for the day else it would affect his other plans.
The food seller told reporters that the man walked into her shop, ordered for food, and went ahead to finish it before complaining about the size. She insisted that the man has to pay his full amount before he is allowed leave.
She also added that that the size and quantity of the food was not her fault, rather it was due to the effect of global inflation in the country.
Another customer who pleaded to remain unanimous tried to plead for a reduce in the price but was turned down by the seller.
