Former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has described United States President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee for Ambassador to the United Nation, UN, as a great decision for Africa and Nigeria.
Ahead of his swearing-in as President of the US, Biden had nominated Linda Thomas-Greenfield as Ambassador to the UN.
Reacting, Saraki said Thomas-Greenfield’s nomination would help the US because she comes with a long history of friendships across the continent and the world.
In tweets on his verified Twitter handle, the former Kwara State governor wrote:
“U.S. President-elect Joe Biden’s selection of Linda Thomas-Greenfield to serve as his United States Ambassador to the UN is a great decision for the United States, Africa and Nigeria.
