Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has advised his former club that they will become title contenders if they sign either Napoli’s Victor Osimhen or Tottenham’s Harry Kane this summer.
Ferdinand stated this ahead of Man United’s Europa League play-off second-leg tie with Barcelona on Thursday night.
“I think if I was talking about investing and looking after my money, I would probably go for Osimhen,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“There is resale value with his age at 24 years old. It’s gonna be a huge outlay.”

He added, “I would take either. I have got to be honest with you. If Manchester United add either of those two players you mentioned to their roster, they become title contenders.
“On the form, he is [Victor Osimhen] flying. You’ve got Rashford and him, who are absolutely flying in terms of form.
“But when you talk about the best players in the world, the Mbappe’s of this world are still level above.”
Both Kane and Osimhen have been impressive for their respective club sides so far this season.
