Barcelona President, Joan Laporta has revealed that Lionel Messi’s brother has apologised for his comments about the club.
Matias, the brother to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, had said that ‘nobody knew about Barcelona’ before Messi.
Laporta said Matias’ words were only his and have nothing to do with the 35-year-old Argentine World Cup winner.

The Barcelona boss insisted those words have no impact on the relationship between the La Liga giants and Messi.
Laporta told reporters on Friday, “Leo Messi is part of Barcelona’s history. He belongs to PSG so I will not speak, I respect them.
“His brother has apologised, this story and his words will have no impact on the club’s relationship with Messi.”
